Our Story

Six decades of flexible packaging

Founded by the Bhabha family in 1963, Tropic Plastic & Packaging has built a legacy of manufacturing quality flexible packaging with an emphasis on service, innovation and long-term customer partnerships.

Based in the industrial heart of Durban, we support food, beverage, FMCG, agricultural and industrial brands with custom printed and plain packaging solutions — from film extrusion through to finished, retail-ready bags.

Today we are one of the largest flexible packaging manufacturers in South Africa, combining the responsiveness of a family business with the discipline of professional governance.
